What: 3v3 Soccer Tournament
World Cup Style
Every team is guaranteed 5 games
Two Brackets: Competitive and Recreational
When: 11 am – 4 pm Saturday October 10 2009
Where: Sertoma Park  Get Directions
Why: Every $25 gives a kid a chance to live AIDS free
Donation: Minimum $15 donation per player

Important Notes:

Equipment: Shoes, Shin guards, Water bottles, Rain Gear, Bring Goals if you have them

Team Size: You can have a maximum of 7 players on your team. You want to have as many substitutes as possible since games are played in quick succession and at a very high pace. Last April, many teams ran out of gas without any substitutes. Don’t let this happen to you!

Tournament Day Schedule:

10:15 am         Tournament Registration Begins
11:00 am         Tournament Registration Ends
11:15 am         First Games Begin
3:15 pm           Championship Game and Award Ceremony

Rules:

  1. All games will be 3v3. Teams may have up to seven players on their rosters, but only 3 may play at once.
  2. Games will be 15 minutes in length. There will be no halves.
  3. Sub on-the-fly. During play, a sub may not enter the field until his player has exited the field and s/he must be "tagged" by the exiting player.
  4. No physical contact. No slide tackles. Nothing you wouldn't do in a for-fun pickup soccer game. Be respectful. Be spirited and sportsmanlike. This is about fun and fútbol, not about glory and defeat
  5.  Out of bounds results in a kick-in (not throw-in) for the opposing team from the touchline.  Goal kicks are taken from the endline and corner kicks are taken accordingly.
  6. Goals cannot be scored when resuming play. No goals of kick-ins or re-starts.
